Parent's Letter
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Fellowship Chapel is pleased to offer Vacation Bible School from July 27-August 7, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Shine Brightly with Jesus” based on John 8:12 (NLT): “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” Students will learn that Jesus calls us to shine so that others may see our good works and glorify our Father.
Please send your child in washable play clothes and closed-toe shoes only. On Thursday, August 6, we will take a field trip to Rouge Park, departing at 9:30 a.m. and returning at 3:00 p.m. A signed permission slip is required for each child, and only registered students who have attended VBS at least three days may participate. Parents who would like to volunteer for the picnic must have a clearance form on file during the first week of VBS.
Please make sure your child eats before arriving each morning. Continental type breakfast and lunch will also be provided daily. Children should arrive on time, bring their Bibles, and not bring toys, CD players, or money to VBS.
You and your family are invited to our VBS wrap-up ceremony on Friday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., where the children will present drama, scripture recitations, and songs. Please also join us for our closing celebration on VBS Sunday, August 9, at 9:15 a.m. We will meet in front of the sanctuary at 9:15 a.m.

A security clearance is required. Please visit the Department of Health and Human Services to complete a DHS-1929 Central Registry Clearance Request form.
If you turned in a clearance letter last year, then you do not need one this year.
Student Registration
Registration must be completed for each individual child. After registration is completed, please be sure to download the Picnic Permission slip below.
VBS Outing Details
Fellowship Chapel’s VBS field trip location is at Rouge Park, Detroit MI. The picnic is Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m.
Items needed:
Girls one piece swimsuit and trunks (boys must have a lining – no tank tops or shorts), towel & soap, gym shoes (no flip flops or sandals).
ONLY Juniors, Preteens and Teens will enter the pool.
Food and transportation is provided by VBS. Please do not send a swim suit if your child is not permitted to enter the pool. We will have games and other activities planned for our children. Please be prompt in signing in 9:00 a.m.–out, and picking up your child by 3:00 p.m. at Fellowship Chapel. A permission slip is required for each child. Only students who are registered and who participate in VBS may attend the field trip.
Students must have attended VBS a minimum of THREE DAYS to come to the OUTING.
PARENTS VOLUNTEERING FOR THE OUTING MUST HAVE A CLEARENCE FORM THE FIRST WEEK OF VBS ON FILE WITH US.
