Cares for the Pastor’s vestments and adorns the altar.

Facilitates all the AV needs of the church.  Youth and adults.

The Greeters are an organization of active members who serve as ambassadors of goodwill for Fellowship Chapel.  The role of the greeters is to meet and greet members and friends as they enter the church.  The Greeters provide directions and information on the various areas and activities in the church. In addition, the greeters assist in maintaining good traffic flow, and discouraging loitering in the church hallways.

The Fellowship Chapel Health Ministry is a ministry of health professionals providing and offering services to educate and help save lives.

How To Handle and Manage Stress

Dear Chapel Family,

We are experiencing tension and stress in our lives daily.  When it gets to a point it is overwhelming, you have to LET GO and SAY NO!!!!

  1. Acknowledge what makes you upset and or frustrated, avoid it.
  2. Prioritize your activities to avoid overburdening your time.  Be HAPPY each day! Enjoy Life!!
  3. Meditate-Practice Yoga, deep breathing exercises can calm you.
  4. Exercise daily to:

a. Reduce excess weight to maintain a healthy heart

b. Support your body in regulating blood sugar and insulin levels

c. Improve your mental health and moods

d. Stimulate your mind to stay sharp as you age

e. Acquire more energy

f. Strengthen your bones and more…..

Have more ME time:

a. Take the time to do something that makes you feel good!

b. Read a book

c. Eat more nutritious meals:

d. Add Organic fruits and vegetables

e. Drink more water daily

f. Eat more HOME COOKED meals and less processed foods (Fast Foods)

g. Sleep a minimum of 6-8 hours

h. Stimulate your serotonin in your brain cells to rest

  1. Avoid Alcohol/Drugs to avoid major complications within your body
  2. Talk to someone you can trust (Don’t hold it in)
  3. Don’t be ashamed to seek Professional Assistance

We welcome those age 55 and over both members and non- members to join. Our intent is to be Socially, Politically and Spiritually Aligned with GOD’S purpose for our lives.

We meet every third Saturday from March through December. Time Noon in the Multipurpose room by the East wing Entrance.   We invite guest speakers that bring information about topics relevant to our members. We address topics such as “Fraud and the Older Adult”, “Minding Your Health” and other resources beneficial to us.

In addition we have second Friday luncheons supporting Black owned eateries and others. We day trips as well as planning a Trip next year to the Obama Presidential Library in Chicago.  All are welcomed. We are involved in many community activities sewing dresses for African girls in conjunction with Women United; provide scholarship opportunities and so much more.

After our meeting ,we serve refreshments and for those who want to play cards such as bid Whist, Pinochle, scrabble, mahjong, dominoes and chess to name a few. There are no dues.

All Men – Facilitates service to the church and the community.

Responsible for the security of the church.  18 years and older and a church member for more than a year.

Spoken-word, performing arts ministry

Assist administering Holy Communion, Baptisms & Christenings; visiting the sick and shut-in, the needy and bereaved.

All Women – Facilitates service to the church and the community.

The Pastor appoints members to be Worship Leaders, who assist in the leadership of the worship service.

8 years and up.
